Suitcase Social

A Suitcase Social

This would be a great program to use if someone is farewelling from the corps, going to training or moving.

Programs – cut the shape of a suitcase out of brown construction paper and paste the program for the evening onto the paper.

GAMES

Let’s Pack a Suitcase
Ask a member who is an expert in packing a suitcase to give a demonstration. Guidelines are as follows (guidelines could be printed on the back of the program):
1. Always put the heavy things on the bottom of your suitcase

2. Put shoes in a shoe bag, or wrap in plastic bag

3. Toiletries travel nicely in a plastic bag

4. If sweaters are placed in plastic bags, wrinkling is prevented

5. Don’t’ take unnecessary items

6. Avoid runs in panty hose by putting them in a hose bag or in a plastic bag

7. To prevent wrinkles in good garments, add tissue paper in each fold

8. Remember to put in an extra plastic bag wet washcloth or towel or dirty clothes
